La Luz Beach Resort
A couple of days ago, I had the chance to take a much needed vacation at La Luz Beach Resort at San Juan Batangas.
We stayed at Aling Ely’s rental cottages or more commonly known as La Luz Labas. Before doing our trip I researched online the details regarding La Luz Labas. I got the info I needed but there are some questions still left unanswered for first time La Luz visitors like me. From Sucat
-Take an FX in Sucat (those that take SLEX…some take you as far as Libis itself, but this I am not sure). Check out where the FX stations are in Sucat.
-Or Take an FX headed for Makati and alight in Mantrade or Ayala and
-take the MRT (or BUS) to Crossing/Shaw Bldvd. In Crossing, there are jeeps going to Pasig but ask the driver if it will reach Libis (likely up to Ortigas only), in which case you need to take another jeep in Ortigas (IPI area, corner right after Tiendesitas) that is a Cubao jeep.
If you’re planning to work abroad you have to make sure that you have reviewed the POEA Accredited Agencies. It’s important that the agency that will help you transact with the employer is accredited by the POEA to avoid any illegal recruitments. POEA has very strict accreditation procedures and one of the things they consider in approving a license of a recruitment agency is it’s history in deploying manpower.

Because of the global recession, it’s hard to find job anywhere right now. In the Philippines, companies are laying off employees to keep their business afloat. Just this March, thousands of new graduates are off to find their luck inside or outside the country. Jobs in the Philippines are mostly related to call centers since that industry is very stable and the demand for agents are still on a rise. POEA Jobs Abroad is a bit risky nowadays. Most employers are backing out of their employment contracts from agencies leaving hapless workers without a job. Hopefully, the economy recovers in time before more people are pushed to the edge of losing their career.
